![]() I have read that Mac OS X is designed so that you can have more programs open on screen and have them interact/complement each other better. Expose and the dashboard are quite useful, but I think generally speaking the Windows environent is a bit better to navigate. Two finger tapping isnt too bad in most situations but causes some problems (mouse gestures in firefox springs to mind). Unfortunately I think it really would be better after all these years of Apple just bit the bullet and included a second button. I wish I could change the behaviour of the macbook when I close the lid instead of it always going into standby. Sucks when you are just trying to watch a YouTube clip or something and have to keep moving the mouse to stop the screen from going dim. As far as I can tell there is no way to adjust this (someone please prove me wrong). The screen fading to half brightness after a minute of inactivity is really annoying. Screen is a lot clearer than my old notebook. This is partly to help out potential Windows switchers, partly a rant and partly asking questions for some more experienced mac users to answer for me.įirst the build quality, packaging and presentation of the macbook is pretty top notch. Anyway here are my opinions after a few months. ![]() ![]() If I didnt like the OS then I could always put Windows on it with boot camp anyway. The macbook looked stylish, well built and good value for money so I thought Id give it a try. Ok I have used Windows all my life but a few months ago I thought it was time for a change.
